Sutton Coldfield Law Firm in Breakthrough for Charity Fundraising

Based in Sutton Coldfield, the Where There's YOUR Will™ initiative is a nationwide scheme dedicated to helping charities raise money by assisting people to make Wills.

HMS Wills, a part of Harvey McKibbin Solicitors, runs the scheme which gives charities and their supporters an exciting way to benefit themselves and their favourite cause. The scheme, called Where There's YOUR Will™, has gone down well with charities – from national organisations such as Sightsavers and Action for Children to smaller local causes like the Sutton Coldfield based helpinghenry.co.uk.

Gareth Edwards, CEO of the Practical Fundraising Association, said, “This initiative is so good that I have signed up my own charity Farplace Animal Rescue so we can benefit immediately and we’re promoting Where There's YOUR Will™ to every member of the PFA.” For every Will made under the scheme nominating a registered charity, HMS Wills donates 50% of their fee. If Gift Aid is applied that rises to 64%.

HMS Wills estimates that each and every Will can give an average donation of more than £130 for charity. Where There's YOUR Will™ gives charities the chance to help their supporters do something beneficial for themselves and their families whilst also doing something brilliant for charity.

Brian McKibbin said, “It’s a real win-win and we’re so pleased to be able to really help charity fundraising – especially in these difficult economic times".

Sutton Coldfield MP Andrew Mitchell added his support for the initiative saying, “Where There's YOUR Will™ is a promising proposal that has the potential to benefit many of our local and national charities. I am pleased that, once again, it is Sutton Coldfield leading the way and I hope this interesting initiative will continue to do well.”
